Hello there, My name is Robert Owens. I'm a hobbiest programmer who is breaking into the software development field. I've gotten my first internship done and under my belt, so I'm rather proud of that. For many years I have learned about computers and worked on developing my programming skills. I messed around making small games, discord bots, and other small scripts. It wasn't until my Highschool years that my interest in programming really took off. In 2016 one of my woodshop teachers found out about an international robotics competition for highschools, The First Robotics Competition! Naturally for this team you needed people to work on building the robot and someone to program it. That's where I came in. I told my best friend Nic, who also had a strong interest in software development about this club. He was sold on the idea, and that's when programming grew beyond a side hobby interest.
